1) Basketball season is officially done for our big girls! They had a great time with so much learning. The 7th and 8th-grade team finishes the season with an overnight tournament with the other CSI schools. They ended up losing the final championship in double-overtime but had fun in each aspect of the tournament. Jonathan's hands were bright red from all of the cheering and clapping for our girls!
2) Speaking of Brookfield Christian School, Amalia and Brinnly made their debut in the school musical this year--the Pirates of Penzance. Their teacher really challenged them in learning hard songs but they loved it. It was really a silly show and fun to watch them. Mali was in the Daughter's Chorus and Brinn was a policeman. They really showed their personalities in their roles!
3) On that same weekend (of course!) Carrigan and Delaney had their school's informance. They did great! Carrigan's class's folk dance was really good and even Delaney's first grade class sang out during "Fifty Nifty United States". Note--my girls don't sing the line "Wisconsin is the best" They don't want show favorites between Michigan/Pennsylvania/Wisconsin!
4) We went to the Museum of Science and Industry with Grandma Deni! It was a fun way to spend a February Sunday. I think our favorite was the Maze of Mirrors, although almost everything in the Human Body exhibit was really cool too. We're looking forward to checking out more Chicago museums soon.
5) Happy birthday to our sweet niece Julia! 5 years old! We had a fantastic time celebrating her with trains, arcade games, and Elsa cake!
