Our first attempt at film production...

Just in case you haven't seen this, here is a link to our friend Mike's blog and the movie we made to announce the pregnancy. Neither of us is particularly gifted in the area of technology, so we're pretty proud of our accomplishment, especially since we were pretty excited and overwhelmed by the news (as you can see from our faces) and that we had to keep everything a secret.

After being sworn to secrecy, Mike helped us edit it and send copies out to our families. Everything went well, so we thought we would sent it out to friends. Well...again, being distracted, we tried to use a do-it-yourself postage meter and ended up calculating it completely wrong. So, instead of an exciting package waiting at their doors, our friends and Kaethe's sister (who, thankfully are pretty patient with us) ended up with notices and/or disgruntled mail carriers demanding their postage due. In Berrien Springs, this was particulary a problem as two of our friends live on the same mail route, making a rough day for that carrier.

Good thing we're not planning on video-taping the birth.

OH MY HEAVEN - so I'm sitting here bored on a Thursday night, typing in old friends' names on Google like a total loser, and here you were. And you're pregnant! You guys are the cutest. I am so excited for you and must hear every moment of your lives for the past 5 years since we left for the Peace Corps islands...Gosh, how much has happened since then?

Please please please please email me at marian@stellarmediaonline.com and reconnect with this old NC friend.

The biggest change of course has been the birth of our beautiful daughter, Stella Ward Larson (well, you can at least pretend that she was named after you. Actually that's my aunt and uncle's last name) exactly 18 months ago today. Let me tell you time flies. I will bore you with 900 pictures if you let me.

OK, take care and email us PLEASE.

Love,
Marian

Hi Kaethe,

Congratulations! Your Mom just sent me the link to your "blog" so that I can share in your excitement. You are so cute! And the announcement was so clever. You techie kids! I will look forward to hearing the news of the arrival - and also some pictures of grandma and grandpa with your precious one. Take care.
