First Day

Our big girl started preschool at Our Savior Lutheran School this morning. She was pretty apprehensive about it, but did great. You'll notice that she chose to wear an orange dress (the usual color of choice) but brought along a cardigan with a butterfly on it, to remind her of Brinnly. Speaking of our almost-two-year-old, she hasn't quite read the memo that she won't be going to school until next year. Hopefully being the oldest at home for a few hours twice a week will turn out to be pretty appealing to her.

Now could someone answer us on how we could possibly be old enough to have a school-aged child?

aww, she looked adorable in her orange dress! garen and brinnly must think alike, he keeps saying he is going to school tomorrow too....it's not going to be pretty when the stubborn red head doesn't get what he wants!
glad it went well! i can't believe that brendan will be going to kindergarten next year!! time flies!

When my parents were your age, they had a sixth grader, a third grader, and a first grader. I guess starting a family at 19 will do that to you. I'm sure they felt older then than you do now. Think of 31 as being the new 25. :)

Great pictures, though! I totally love the orange dress and affinity for all things orange. If Mali ever takes the "true color/personality" test, I wonder if she'll be an orange? (They're typically the innovators, social butterflies, encouragers, and fun leader-types.)

The expression on Mali's face while standing under the tree with her "first day to school" flowers is so precious! Oh by the way Kaethe, if you think you are "old enough" that makes me REALLY "Old enough"!
