Cooking Class
Carrigan and I had such a great time at our Rec Department Cooking Class this weekend. In less than than an hour we whipped up calzones, strawberry milkshakes, parfaits, and a chocolate-dipped, toffee pretzel. All with a Valentine's theme. She loved it all and has big plans to recreate the recipes again at home.

Eleven Months Old!
It is a very good thing that I have a helper for these photo shots! Otherwise there would be no way I could capture these busybodies in the camera lens. Everly and Grant are equal parts sweetness and trouble these days. They are talking more each day, cruising around furniture, waving hello and goodbye, and enjoying lots of love from their sisters. They both eat like it may be their last meal. Breakfast sausage and meatballs are still Grant's favorites but Everly is more is a carb-girl these days. They devour fruit and some veggies. A LOT of food ends up in their hair but in their minds, that's just one more reason for a bath. And while they are in the bathroom, there's always hope that the adult in charge may be busy with one baby so the other one can quickly try to overturn the trash, pull out all the toilet paper, or continually flush the potty.
They both can say "Mama" and "Dada' clearly but the Mama's boy and Daddy's girl do state their preferences loudly. Every time someone has a phone, Everly asks "Da? Dada?" in hope it's him on the other line. They are still loving their 6 pm bedtime in which their Dada sings them German nursery rhymes before tucking them in. If they stay up too much later, they really do turn into pumpkins. It's pretty exhausting being this cute.

Biggest Fans
Mali was determined to make it through all of the Super Bowl. She claims she's cheering for Carolina--but also Peyton Manning.

Ten Months Old
Pooh is just about retired from this line of duty! It is a good thing overalls are so good for cruising because these two are on the go. Constantly. They love exploring new Christmas toys, their sisters' craft stashes, the pantry, and all things in the bathroom. Everly has several words now including "Dada", "Mama", and possibly "Hi" and "Up". She shrieks with excitement every time she sees the phone, in hopes that it is her daddy calling and she can chat with him. Grant mainly sticks to "Mama", probably because he knows how much it makes me smile. He's finally learned how to sleep at night without being swaddled, only because he outgrew every swaddle blanket on the market. At their check-up last week, they weighted in at 15 lbs, 2oz, and 17 lbs, 5 oz. Healthy and strong! New favorites include oranges, breakfast sausage, Pat the Bunny, and bedtime songs.
And...this guy would like everyone to know that his recent fussiness was all because of a tooth that popped out on Saturday! We were thinking it was an ear infection but were happy to be wrong! Carrigan lost a tooth the same day, so maybe the Tooth Fairy just swapped them out.
